Farewell Miss Iza

Title is a quote from “The Doll” (Polish: Lalka), novel by the Polish writer Bolesław Prus (real name Aleksander Głowacki). It was initially composed as a press series published 1887-89 and finally appeared in book form in 1890. The Doll has been regarded by some as the greatest Polish novel. It’s indeed unique in 19th-century world literature
as a comprehensive, compelling picture of an entire society of that era.
